Prelude. I love this beehive stitch that found on YouTube : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au5jgjREA34. It is really awesome stitch and create thick 3D texture. I especially recommend it if you are in the pickle: thin yarn, but still want to create thicker fabric. In my case, the yarn was already thick, so it really extra voluminous fabric for me coat.

Coat Construction. Knitted flat with raglan yoke. On US 7 cast on 156 sts. Started to knit 1x1 ribbing for 2", then started beehive stitch patter allover. Note: I used 9 edge sts for buttonhole bands that were knitted in stockinette st pattern. As I was approaching the waist, I wanted something a little fitting, so I was changing needle slowly reduce it to US 4 , then same way increase back to US 7.

Sleeves. Sleeves were knitted in rounds on US 7. Fist 1x1 ribbing was knitted with 26 sts for 7", then increases st count to 46 sts and started to knit beehive. One interesting detail on the cuff is that I have 2 sts "button hole" for my thumbs in case I want to hide my hand from cold.

Yoke. Sleeves and bodice were joined together. Started to decrease sts around sleeves (before and after), etc 8 sts on right side. When reach the front of the neck started to bind off edge sts as necessary while continuing to knit the rest of the sts. Finally when yoke reached the desired height, the piece was binded off. The using double strand picked up 46 sts and knitted 1x1 ribbing for 3" foe collar.

Hat. On US 4 casted 90 sts and knitted 1.5" 1x1 ribbing then started pattern as per " Gather At The Pyramid by Jiayi Kong". Knitted 3 reps instead of 2.
