Normally, I don’t knit shawls, BUT… I really needed one this time. The weather was cold and I wanted to cover my torso and the head without putting a coat and a hat to save time, especially if I only need to run from a vehicle to a store.
Since I did not know how to knit a shawl, I found this beautifully simple pattern. I have decided to spice it up a little with “Embossed twining vine leaf” and “berry trees motifs”.
I have tested my shawl on cold Telluride ski resort weather. Wrapped it around my head and shoulders like shown on the second picture, I found myself overheating! I absolutely love this shawl!! I can see it equally a practical and a very elegant piece of garment.
