The garment was dyed (painted) with jacquard acid. The background is gun metal, petals are darker gun metal, puple and teal colors. I got help from a professional artist. Hopefully, next time I will be brave enough to do it by myself.
Note on the yarn. I simply love this yarn! I bought it from White House Georgia Yarn Company for HALF price cheaper!! 100% silk. Purchased 2 kilos( ~24,000ft!!!).
Top. One piece, with short sleeves, seamless yoke, top to bottom. Started with US needles #2, 8 rep wide, 1 rep long, then switched to US needles #4. All ribbing on it were done with US # 0. Ribbing on the collar were simply knitted after sts were picked up around the top.
Skirt.3 pieces/ layers skirt: First is lace and 2nd and 3rd are ribbed. Constructed on the knitted straight skirt with needles # 8 that holds 3 layers. • 1st layer: 8 rep wide at the waist, 20 rep wide at bottom, 5 reps long. • 2 & 3 layer : 250 sts wide at the top, 500 sts at the bottom. The pattern for this layer is ribbing .
