Top. Top down, yoke, seamless, in rounds. Cast On US 160 sts (for 20 reps) and knitted chevron lace increasing sts for sleeves by 24 sts for each sleeve (total 208 sts before separating bodice). Then put on the sts holder 5 reps (40 sts) for each sleeve and casting 2 reps for each under armpit area and continued to knit bodice in round (still having 20 reps in round) until reached the desired length. Then return to st holder and continue to knit sleeves inr rounds picking up sts around armpit areas (total 7 reps in width for sleeve). Elastic was inserted to each cuff creating poet like shape sleeve. Collar was adjusted to a desired circumference by crocheting it around for 3 rows.
Skirt. Bottom up, round. On US 10 cast 600 sts (75 reps) and knitted in rounds for 5 reps+19 R long, then knitted in sts st for 3” decreasing to 200 sts for waist. Then using crochet hook elastic was inserted for a fitted waist.
Overall. My friend is over the moon for this suit! This yarn is great and my favorite among all mohair yarns. The fabric knits fast because of the large needles creating a very delicate web! Any lady will feel like a princess in it.
