Notes

My tutorials. See my tutorial how to block dresses: https://www.heavenlyclassyknits.com/tutorials

Please, be advised that my face is blemish free because is totally photoshoped :)

Note on the pattern. I have purchased this pattern from this site. This lady is really thorough in her translation from German language. I am very impressed! The motif is classical Niebling, so detailed and lovely! This pattern reminds me of Fruiling by Herbert Neibling: large leaves and flowers.

Note on the yarn selection. This yarn is thicker than the pattern calls for, however, I wanted to create a denser fabric this time for less summerish look. When project was finished , it was dyed in cherry flower color : the combination of pink, yellow and russet color of jacquard acid.

Skirt. On US 1, started on row 27 casted on for 6 reps in rounds. I wanted this skirt to be more flared than usual 5 reps that I do. Skirt length is 30” from Row 27-202. Inserted elastic around the waist using crochet hook.

Top. On US 4 picked up 216 sts around the waist, cont to know in st sts pattern in rounds until reached the armsyes, then started to knit flat, front and back. Created low cut front that will be filled with crocheted border “Victoria’s lace art”. Sleeves were knitted by picking up sts around the entire armsyes and knitting short rows for 20 rows on sleeve caps and then simply knitted in rounds in st sts pattern until the desired length was reached. Then elastic was inserted using crochet hook to allow sleeves snuggle around the arm, then Victoria’s border was crocheted as a cuff. These borders were also knitted around the entire neck area and additional border was crocheted for the front to created double border.

True project timeline. This project was actually started on Sep 26, 2014-October 4 and was hibernating until February 17 , finished on March 1, 2015.
