My tutorials. See my tutorial how to block dresses: https://www.heavenlyclassyknits.com/tutorials

I gave away my orange-red dress, so I had to make and replace it , so I made my Ivy Leaf Dress.

Pattern. This pattern also comes from “A second Treasure of Knitting patterns” p.298.

Construction of the dress. The top was knitted bottom up, sleeves were knitted by picking up sts around the armsye doing short rows for cap sleeves and then knitting in rounds. Then, sts were picked up around the waist for skirt in round top down.

Top. On US 6 casted 137 sts (34 reps). Knitted 2 full reps and then divided for V-neck. Then inserted elastic on the bottom of the top. Collar was knitted by picking up sts around the neck in st. sts to create tie shaped collar.

Sleeves. 2 full reps after sleeve cap was knitted. Inserted elastic as cuffs to create poet shaped sleeves.

Skirt. On US 7, picked up 375 sts (11 resp +1 st), knitted 3 full reps, the plain reserves st st rows for 1”.
